Ta Moko

In Social studies, we learned about Maori art. We learned that Ta moko is Tradition Maori face tattoo. In social studies, we are learning about Maori tattoos, and our task was to draw a Maori design on a template or on a plain bit of paper. There is mine below I could not find the actual meaning of the tattoo but I know this is a traditional Maori tattoo. I learned that more tattoos can tell a story about their life.

  1. Great job Wajihah. You have mentioned what a ta moko is, are you able to give some examples of what the tattoos can show about a person - you mentioned that they tell the story of a persons life...?

To support my learning I ask you to comment as follows:
1. Something positive - something you like about what I have shared.
2. Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what I had to say
3. Something thoughtful - how have you connected with my learning? Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
