Some examples of the poetic language she used in the latest poetry we read:

  1. As pale as thistledown
  2. the yellowish-brown of certain honey
She is using metaphor. There are other poetries in the book that we've read and will encounter.

Memory- Resilience

We're reading a book in Wananga called memory. In this story, a boy named Jonny lost his sister in an accident. Now he keeps thinking that why did his sister die in that accident why not him. To get blur the bitter memory, he gets drunk every day. He drinks one glass followed by the other until he's not in a state to remember anything. This is not good for his well-being. He is not being resilient he is not standing strong to face his fears and problems.

Wanaga Assessment

In Wanaga, we are doing a unit standard assessment. In this assessment, we plan to improve our personal well-being. We have to plan on how we'll do it and how it will be recorded. Once that is done, we start following the plan and record it every day. We have to choose 3 factors that we have to work on.

The Power of Yet- Carol Dweck

What is a Growth mindset?

A growth mindset is about having an open mind. This means instead of saying "I can't do it, you say "I'll give it a go" or I'll try to do it in a different way". Take up challenges even though you don't know anything about them. Get inspired by others success. Take feedbacks and think about improvements. The Differences Between A Growth Mindset And A Fixed Mindset
