Home Economics Practical

Last week Wednesday in home economics, we did some practical making savoury bread cases. We were put into groups of 4. First, we were explained the rules. And then we were shown where the things are. Then we were given instruction and the recipe. Then we started baking. We did well as a group. Before doing a practical you must sanitize your table and wash your hands. Before cutting or putting any food, you must get your utensils ready. Pre-heat your oven and continue cutting, cleaning etc. After you have finished cooking,  wash an put away all the dishes, clean your workplace then you can eat.

How did we make the savory bread cases?
first, preheat the oven at 180 degrees fan bake. Then we cut the crust off the bread and we buttered it. Then we molded it in the muffin tin. Then we put it in the oven to heat it a bit. And then grate some cheese and any other thing you want to add, and then add it to the pieces of bread. Put some as the base and add what you want as fillings and cover it with cheese. and bake for approx. 10-15 mins. Then your savory are ready.

Hygiene and personal safety.

hygiene- conditions or practices conducive to maintaining health and preventing disease, especially through cleanliness.

Personal safety-  Being safe while using any dangerous object.

What is bacteria?  a member of a large group of unicellular microorganisms which have cell walls but lack organelles and an organized nucleus, including some which can cause disease.

What do they need to survive? moisture, food, oxygen, and temperature.

How to avoid them spreading? cover food, put it in the fridge, put it in the right temperature needed.
