Chicken Stir- Fry

For our second practical in Eco-Nomics, we made Chicken stir fry. We first julienned the vegetables we wanted to add in our recipe. Then we cut the chicken. We mixed it with sesame oil and onions. While we were cooking the chicken in the deep non-stick pan, we boiled the noodles. After the chicken was brown, we added the rest of the vegetable. After the noodles were cooked, we drained the noodles in a colander. We mixed the noodles and the flavors. And it was cooked. It was delicious.

P.E Reflection- Shotput

In P.E we have been doing athletics. From all the events we did, I chose shotput. I really liked doing shotput. You have to hold the ball beside your chin and you put the ball you don't throw the ball. You don't put it too close to your chin or else you'll break your jaws. I think I have improved in doing this because, I found the ball too heavy but by doing practices, I improved on holding the weight. I think there is more space for improvement in holding it. I also want to improve doing discuss. I can't hold the disc. I really want to improve on throwing the disc. Overall I enjoy P.E

Home Economics Practical

Last week Wednesday in home economics, we did some practical making savoury bread cases. We were put into groups of 4. First, we were explained the rules. And then we were shown where the things are. Then we were given instruction and the recipe. Then we started baking. We did well as a group. Before doing a practical you must sanitize your table and wash your hands. Before cutting or putting any food, you must get your utensils ready. Pre-heat your oven and continue cutting, cleaning etc. After you have finished cooking,  wash an put away all the dishes, clean your workplace then you can eat.

How did we make the savory bread cases?
first, preheat the oven at 180 degrees fan bake. Then we cut the crust off the bread and we buttered it. Then we molded it in the muffin tin. Then we put it in the oven to heat it a bit. And then grate some cheese and any other thing you want to add, and then add it to the pieces of bread. Put some as the base and add what you want as fillings and cover it with cheese. and bake for approx. 10-15 mins. Then your savory are ready.

Hygiene and personal safety.

hygiene- conditions or practices conducive to maintaining health and preventing disease, especially through cleanliness.

Personal safety-  Being safe while using any dangerous object.

What is bacteria?  a member of a large group of unicellular microorganisms which have cell walls but lack organelles and an organized nucleus, including some which can cause disease.

What do they need to survive? moisture, food, oxygen, and temperature.

How to avoid them spreading? cover food, put it in the fridge, put it in the right temperature needed.

Butterflies

This is the second post from English today. We are reading a story and answering some questions. These are the questions.
The Grandmother plaited her granddaughter’s hair and then she said, “Get your lunch. Put it in your bag. Get your apple. You come straight back after school, straight home here. Listen to the teacher,” she said. “Do what she say.”
Her grandfather was out on the step. He walked down the path with her and out onto the footpath. He said to a neighbor, “Our granddaughter goes to school. She lives with us now.”
“She’s fine,” the neighbor said. “She’s terrific with her two plaits in her hair.”
“And clever,” the grandfather said. “Writes every day in her book.”
“She’s fine,” the neighbor said.
The grandfather waited with his granddaughter by the crossing and then he said, “Go to school. Listen to the teacher. Do what she say.”
When the granddaughter came home from school her grandfather was hoeing around the cabbages. Her grandmother was picking beans. They stopped their work. “You bring your book home?” the grandmother asked.
“Yes.”
“You write your story?”
“Yes.”
“What’s your story?”
“About the butterflies.”
“Get your book then. Read your story.”
The granddaughter took her book from her schoolbag and opened it.
“I killed all the butterflies,” she read. “This is me and this is all the butterflies.” “And your teacher like your story, did she?”
“I don’t know.”
“What your teacher say?”

“She said butterflies are beautiful creatures. They hatch out and fly in the sun. The butterflies visit all the pretty flowers, she said. They lay their eggs and then they die. You don’t kill butterflies, that’s what she said.”
The grandmother and the grandfather were quiet for a long time, and their granddaughter, holding the book, stood quite still in the warm garden.
“Because you see,” the grandfather said, “your teacher, she buy all her cabbages from the supermarket and that’s why.”

                                             FAKE!

This is a fake if you look closer at the people they are not German. They are Chinese people stuck in traffic due to a crash. The picture is real though but the words aren't. This is outdated in 2017. The photo was taken in 2010.
