Magret Mahy is the author of the book 'Memory'. This is the same book we're reading in our Wananga class. She uses poetic language in most of her writing.
Some examples of the poetic language she used in the latest poetry we read:
- As pale as thistledown
- the yellowish-brown of certain honey
She is using metaphor. There are other poetries in the book that we've read and will encounter.
